Jake Morton,
1987-88Rick Edwards was born on March 1, 1954 in New England. He attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and used to be a top international model and world-class champion rower. In 1983, Rick made his feature film debut opposite Ronn Moss and Tanya Roberts in the medieval adventure Hearts and Armour. Five years later, he made his daytime television debut as Jake Morton on NBC's Santa Barbara. In one memorable storyline, Rick's character on SB was plucked from obscurity to represent a fictional cologne called Beast. In true Hollywood style, NBC distributed full-color posters of a well-oiled Rick in a fake-fur loincloth posing provocatively for the scent. During his long career as a model, Rick has graced the covers of GQ and Men's Health. His other TV credits include High Performance and The Young and the Restless. He has three children. |
