Ted Capwell,
1984-89
Todd McKee was born on November 7, 1963 in Kentfield, California. He attended
the University of Southern California, where he studied drama. In 1984,
after finishing his third year of college, he won the role of Ted Capwell
on the new daytime drama Santa Barbara. Although this was his first
major television role, he had previously been seen in a McDonalds
commercial.
After five years, Todd decided to leave Santa Barbara due
to lack of storylines. He went on to travel around the world with Lane
Davies, who played his older brother Mason on the show.
From 1990 to 1992, Todd played Jake MacLaine on the soap
opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He eventually quit acting and is
now a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. Nevertheless, he has returned to
B&B for a handful of appearances since 2007.
