Jeffrey Conrad,
1986-89Ross Kettle was born on September 19, 1961 in Durban, South Africa. His early career includes work on the production of the film Zulu Dawn and a starring role in the South African miniseries 1922. He moved to America in 1984. One of his first roles there was on Cagney & Lacey in an episode dealing with apartheid. In 1985, Ross started his soap career when he played Stewart Cushing on As the World Turns. A year later, he joined the cast of Santa Barbara as the mysterious Jeffrey Conrad. In 1988, he received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work on the show. After leaving SB, Ross concentrated on writing and directing. He wrote his own play, Soweto's Burning, which was later made into a film. Ross was married to actress Michelle Forbes, but that ended in divorce. |
