Character History
A hardcore feminist, Jane Wilson was an employee at a campus radio station
who got angry when the station hired Ted
Capwell instead of her to become the deejay. Soon after, Ted
began receiving seductive request calls from Roxanne, a mysterious woman
with a sexy voice and long red fingernails. She tried to seduce Ted
several times, but he never saw her face. Soon, it was revealed that Jane
and Roxanne were the same person! As it turned out, Roxanne was Jane's
bad-seed personality. Her disorder stemmed from childhood problems
concerning her promiscuous mother.
A student of archeology, Jane began spending a lot of time with Lionel Lockridge after they discovered dinosaur bones in his backyard. She became sexually attracted to Lionel, who was much older than she was, but he gently rejected her romantic advances. Not long after, Jane's mother Caroline Wilson came to Santa Barbara and became romantically involved with Lionel. Because of this, and their troubled past, Jane and Caroline had numerous arguments. Before long, Jane figured out that Caroline had another daughter, Alice Jackson, who was the result of Caroline's affair with a black man named Gus. Around the same time, Jane became attracted to Brian Bradford, the object of Alice's affections. Not wanting Alice to get hurt, Jane decided not to pursue a relationship with Brian. She started seeing Lionel's son, Warren, and made amends with Caroline. Sadly, Caroline died of a rare disease soon after marrying Lionel. After Warren left Santa Barbara, Jane became attracted to widower Brick Wallace. They seemed to make a perfect couple. Unfortunately, Jane unwittingly allowed Brick's son, Johnny, to be kidnapped by men posing as paramedics. Ridden with guilt, she went as far as sleeping with sleazy D.A. Keith Timmons to get information on Johnny's whereabouts. After a brief stint as a cop, Brick decided to leave town with Johnny and move to Nevada. Jane went with them. That was the last time we saw her. |
