As
tension
continued to
build
between
Celeste and
Heather,
Scott became
a
millionaire
when the
Capwell case
was resolved.
A party was
held, but
Scott,
having lost
his father,
felt like
the money
was an empty
victory.
Celeste
convinced
him to use
the money to
help others.
She had
rented a
dress for
the party
and became
desperate
for money
herself when
a drink was
spilled on
the dress
during an
argument
with Heather.
The next day,
she found a
bonus in her
pay envelope.
She wrongly
assumed that
Scott had
come through
for her, but
it was
Heather.
Around the
same time,
Celeste was
called to
the police
station to
bail out her
father, who
had been
arrested for
drunk
driving. It
was then
that she was
reunited
with her two
younger
sisters, Lisa
and Emily,
who were
back in
Santa
Barbara.
Although
Lisa
resented
Celeste for
deserting
them nine
years
earlier,
Celeste
invited her
sisters to
stay with
her. Not
much later,
Lisa
encouraged
Celeste to
face the
fact that
she still
loved Scott.

Seeing
Celeste as a
threat,
Heather
arranged for
her to be
offered a
better-paying
job. Celeste
told Scott
about the
job
interview,
but
eventually
decided to
stay at the
clinic.
Scott found
out about
Heather's
deception
and so did
Celeste when
she
overheard
them. She
came face to
face with
Heather and
left Scott a
letter of
resignation.
Although
Scott
stopped by
Celeste's
place to
apologize,
she was
distraught
when he
didn't ask
her to
return to
work.
Without a
job, Celeste
decided to
turn herself
into Crystal
again. She
went to a
motel with a
guy named
Carter
Sindon, but
resisted
this
temptation
to return to
her old life.
She ran into
Scott at the
graveyard
and took
this
opportunity
to tell him
how she
really felt
and that she
wanted him.
Not knowing
where to go
from here,
Scott went
away for a
while.
Celeste had
an honest
talk with
Michael
about Scott
and when
Heather
overheard,
she and
Celeste got
into a
bitter
argument
that ended
with them
slapping
each other.
Celeste
headed for a
motel up the
coast to be
alone for a
while, which
didn't sit
too well
with Michael.
Worried that
she would
return to
prostitution,
he found her
and made her
realize that
she didn't
have to run
away.
New
complications
Back in
Santa
Barbara,
Celeste
passed out
and was
found by
Michael.
When she
woke up at
the hospital,
he told her
that she had
pneumonia.
Heather made
a classy
move by
taking care
of the
hospital
bill, but
this only
made Celeste
even more
anxious to
leave the
hospital as
soon as
possible.
Before long,
Scott
returned to
town and
dumped
Heather to
be with
Celeste.
Celeste's
fever was
now gone, so
Scott took
her home and
it didn't
take them
long to grow
closer. He
surprised
her with a
picnic at
his house
and old
slides from
when they
were first
together.
Although
they tried
to take
things
slowly, they
got close to
making love
several
times. Due
to her past,
however,
Celeste
found it
hard to let
her defenses
down. The
situation
was further
complicated
when a
prostitute
named Winona
arrived at
the clinic
because she
was having
cramps. She
recognized
Celeste, but
kept quiet.
When the
woman needed
surgery,
Celeste
waited for
Scott at the
hospital and
saw Michael
there. She
went after
him when he
forgot his
magazine,
which was
when she
found him
with Heather
in a
hospital
room.
Celeste told
Scott the
news, and it
turned out
that Heather
was pregnant
with Scott's
child and
planning to
have an
abortion! As
Scott
mourned
Heather's
decision,
Celeste
stunned him
by revealing
that she had
once had an
abortion.
Since Scott
wanted to
have kids
real bad,
Celeste had
tests done
in secret to
find out if
she could
get
pregnant.
Unfortunately,
it turned
out there
was a chance
she wouldn't
be able to
conceive.
Soon
after Scott
and Celeste
made love
for the
first time,
Heather got
into a car
accident and
ended up at
the clinic.
When Celeste
got
Heather's
lab results,
she
discovered
that she was
still
pregnant.
Although
Celeste
believed
that Scott
had the
right to
know,
Heather
asked her
for more
time and
provided her
with an
altered lab
report so
that Scott
wouldn't
find out.
When Scott
was about to
get new lab
results,
however,
Celeste
warned
Heather and
wanted to
tell him the
truth. Upon
his return
home, she
wrongly
assumed that
he already
knew and
made a
comment that
gave her
away.
Although
Scott was
shocked that
Celeste had
kept him in
the dark,
she didn't
lose him.
But since
Heather
didn't want
Scott
anywhere
near the
baby, they
got
embroiled in
a costudy
battle,
which of
course also
effected
Celeste. She
thought
about the
future,
fearing that
Heather's
child wound
end up
hating her,
but Scott
reassured
her. A few
weeks later,
he invited
her to move
in with him.
She
initially
refused,
feeling like
the house
belonged to
Scott and
Heather, but
eventually
changed her
mind and
gave him a
piano as a
housewarming
gift. She
was upset,
however,
when he was
offered a
job in New
York and
didn't
accept it
because of
Heather's
baby.

Michael's
name.

Meanwhile,
tired of
feeling like
a cheat,
Celeste
almost told
Scott about
her past as
a hooker.
Ironically,
he tried to
make her
confession
easier for
her by
revealing
that his
mother had
been a
prostitute.
This caused
Celeste to
only tell
him that she
may not be
able to have
children.
She did tell
her sister
Lisa about
her past,
and Lisa
didn't
condemn her.
Around this
time, a drug
dealer named
Leo Mitchell
came to town
to kill
Michael.
Scott and
Celeste
caught
Mitchell at
the clinic
when he was
looking for
pain
killers, but
he
disappeared
before they
could call
the police.
Celeste and
Heather soon
became aware
of the fact
that Michael
was in
danger and
looked for
him on the
beach. It
was a foggy
night, and
they decided
to split up
to cover
more ground.
Leo Mitchell
was then
shot and
killed. By
the time
Celeste was
found by
Scott, she
was truly
terrified of
something.
She
remembered
hearing a
gunshot but
since the
rest of it
was a blank,
Scott
convinced
her to allow
Heather to
hypnotize
her. This
first
attempt at
uncovering
the truth
was
interrupted
when Laura
Asher
stopped
Celeste just
as she
remembered
seeing a
gun. Later,
Celeste
confided to
Lisa that
Leo Mitchell
had been one
of her johns,
a secret she
didn't share
with anyone
else.
The
breakup
Still
afraid that
Scott would
learn the
truth,
Celeste was
apprehensive
about being
hypnotized
again and
claimed that
she had met
Leo at some
party in
L.A. When
Scott and
Heather
tried to get
further with
her, Celeste
told them to
leave it
alone and
ran out.
Later, she
confessed to
a shocked
Heather that
she used to
be a
prostitute.
That same
day, Michael
was arrested
for Leo's
murder and
Celeste
tried to
help by
finally
allowing
Heather to
hypnotize
her again.
Although she
confirmed
under
hypnosis
that Michael
didn't pull
the trigger,
it wasn't
evidence
enough to
get him out
of jail.
After a
heart-to-heart
with Cruz,
however,
Celeste
finally got
the courage
to tell
Scott about
her past.
Unable to
deal with
this
revelation,
he broke up
with her.
She made
several
attempts to
talk to him
and even
Heather
acted as a
go-between,
but it was
to no avail.
After
the breakup,
Celeste
moved back
into her old
apartment
and told her
sister Emily
about her
past. She
also offered
to protect
Michael by
confessing
to Leo's
murder, but
he wouldn't
hear of it.
The charges
against
Michael were
dropped and
when he
decided to
leave town,
Celeste
encouraged
the people
in his life,
including
Scott, to
get him to
stay. Soon
after,
Michael
decided to
open a
community
center and
asked
Celeste to
become the
assistant
director. At
the casino
party for
this
project,
Celeste
observed
Scott trying
to work
things out
with Heather
and promptly
agreed to
dance with
lawyer Brian
Jeffries. A
few days
later, while
they were
helping out
at the
community
center,
Celeste had
a
confrontation
with Heather
and accused
her of not
appreciating
that she had
everything.
Celeste
was left
without much
of life
after Scott
and Heather
left town.
She started
working at a
bar with
Cruz's
brother, Ric
Castillo,
and set up
Michael on a
date with
ex-nun Greta
MacAdams.
She was
worried when
Emily's
relationship
with Greg
Hughes
progressed,
especially
when Emily
turned down
a modeling
job for him
and became
engaged.
Nevertheless,
she was last
seen at Greg
and Emily's
wedding.
