Brief Character History
Bunny Tagliatti was perhaps Santa Barbara's most zany and unusual character. His first scene came shortly after Gina Timmons and her son Brandon turned their house, the former Lockridge mansion, into a bed and breakfast. Obviously a gangster, Bunny arrived at the mansion and surprised Gina and Brandon by renting all their available rooms. As a result, Gina became Bunny's landlady. Nevertheless, Gina thought Bunny was more than a bit eccentric, especially upon learning that he was a cross-dresser! According to Bunny, he began dressing up like a woman as a disguise and then found he was seduced by the whole process.

Soon, Bunny became involved in Gina's plot to use Mason Capwell's split personality, Sonny Sprocket, as a way to bilk money out of Mason's rich family. In his efforts to help Gina, Bunny used gangster methods like electric shocking Sonny and blowing up his safe. During this time, Bunny fell in love with Gina. Much to his chagrin, however, Gina was more interested in Sonny.

Unable to win Gina away from Sonny, Bunny took his gangster uncle, Mario, into his confidence. Mario promptly put out a hit on Sonny to get rid of his nephew's rival. During Sonny and Gina's wedding, Sonny was shot by Mario's hitman. Following a brief coma, Mason woke up with Sonny gone, and he broke with Gina. This left Gina a free woman, but although Bunny tried, he was unable to seduce her into being more than friends.

Meanwhile, Bunny assisted in the arrest of Mario's hitman. To prevent a war between their mobster families, Mario wanted Bunny to marry the hitman's granddaughter, Vanessa. Bunny and Vanessa managed to escape, but the girl soon fell in love with him. Later, Bunny renounced his family to avoid marrying Vanessa. In addition, he stopped cross dressing.

In 1989, Bunny took the opportunity to buy The Lair, a popular nightclub, and renamed it Bunny's Lair. He hired Gina to sing at the club. Only later did he learn that Gina was only lip-singing songs with the real singer, a shy woman named Cassie, backstage. Once that matter was cleared up, Bunny was left without much of life. He did provide a listening ear to Gina and other customers at the Lair.

Later that year, Bunny entered the limelight again. He helped Julia Wainwright and Sophia Capwell gain entrance to a Las Vegas party thrown by mobster Anthony Tonell, the man responsible for the hostile takeover of Capwell Enterprises. Later, a gunshot was heard in Bunny's hotel room and he was presumed dead even though his body was nowhere to be found. Tonell framed Julia for Bunny's murder. As Julia went on trial, Mason arrived in the courtroom along with a mystery woman. That woman just happened to be Bunny! He explained that he had only been kidnapped by Tonell's thugs. He then returned to work at the Lair and hired Sasha Schmidt to sing there.

In 1990, Bunny was taken hostage by Laura Asher and her loony sidekick, Annie, while the ladies were fugitives from the police. When Bunny hit his head, he briefly took on other personalities while simultaneously developing a fondness for Annie. When the women were arrested, Bunny helped Annie escape and agreed to hide her at the Lair. She began working for him in disguise as a waitress. Sadly, Bunny's worst fear came true when his beloved Annie was arrested. He then vanished, causing Gina to wistfully hope that he was with Annie.
