Robert Barr and Quinn Armitage,
1989-91Roscoe Born was born on November 24, 1950 in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Kensington, Maryland. He developed his interest in acting during a cross-country hitchhiking trip. He attended Boston University School of Fine Arts, and trained under actor Robert Prosky at the Arena Stage Improvisational Workshop. Roscoe's first big break as an actor came with the role of Joe Novak on Ryan's Hope in 1981. He appeared on many other daytime dramas in the decades that followed, including One Life to Live, The City, All My Children, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. He received an Emmy nomination in 1990 for his role as Robert Barr on Santa Barbara. Additionally, Roscoe had roles in such films as End of the World and Jailbait Babysitter. He co-starred with A Martinez in the film Powwow Highway. He also appeared in the TV movies Lady Mobster and The Haunting of Sarah Hardy, as well as the series Paper Dolls. Roscoe has been married to actress Rendall Edwards and former SB co-star Roberta Bizeau. His marriage to Roberta produced a daughter, Alberta (b. 1997). The couple divorced in 2000. |
