JOHN BECK
David Raymond, 1991-92

A native of Illinois, John Beck was born on January 28, 1943 in Chicago. He grew up on his father's ranch and originally wanted to be a vet. However, he was later asked to take part in a high school play to overcome his profound shyness and found he enjoyed the sensation. He ended up leaving his home for California, working first in commercials, then as a guest star on various television series.

John's big break came in 1971 when he appeared on the TV series Nichols. He also starred on the prime time soaps Dallas (during Victoria's dream season) and Flamingo Road. His other TV credits include Jake and the Fatman, Hotel, Perry Mason, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Murder She Wrote, Baywatch, Matlock and Passions, among numerous others. He provided the voice of the Punisher in three episodes of the animated series Spider-Man.

In addition, John was seen in such films as Lawman, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, Paperback Hero, Sleeper, Nightmare Honeymoon, The Big Bus, Rollerball, Audrey Rose and The Other Side of Midnight.

John has been married to Tina Carter since 1971 and they have four children.
