Premise

Transcript

Minx: Do you wish to explain your behavior?

Augusta: (defensive) I certainly do not.

Minx: (irate) How dare you have assignations in my home! How dare you bring your love here. You've fouled my home, Lionel's home, your own children's home!

Augusta: Oh stop it! Just stop it! What do you know about my needs? What do I have to be guilty of? I love Lionel, he's my husband for God's sake, and I'm lonely for him, but he rejects me with other women. Minx, how can you be so blind and so naive about your own son?

Minx: I will defend my son, although he is imperfect. I will defend him when his wife betrays him.

Augusta: Minx, he's traveling all over the world with female companionship. He's not just in Bali studying art, I can promise you.

Minx: (somewhat compassionate) Augusta, I know what it is to be lonely...

Augusta: Oh spare me the sermon.

Minx: (firm) No, I will not. If your husband is enjoying the company of other women, the reason is here. Your life and behavior with him here.
